I’m a Proud Mama are you?
I am because I have this sweet kid who can be a bit bossy, but still knows his place. He loves me so much I know I’m his favorite (shhhhh dont tell daddy), I’m here day in and out spending time and teaching, playing and just listening and watching.
He really enjoys being homeschooled, I think our whole family likes the idea. My little man learns as the days go by, sometimes faster than others and sometimes not so much.
He loves to cook and enjoys baking with me as well, as long as I’m not in a rush then he gets to do lots of stuff. He cracks eggs, measures stuff, cuts sticks of butter and sifts but never remembers that word sift. He has even made his own entire lasagna with just a little coaching you could say, just reminding him not to much cheese for each layer, you know so there is enough.
One of his favorite things to do is play with fondant and decorate cupcakes or a cake. We call fondant our candy play-doh and its true that’s basically what it is. He has made full sets of angry birds for a Easter cake we just set on a plate around some little cakes we bought from Swiss colony.
He says he wants to work in a taco bell, I explained if you want to work in the restaurant business you should run your own, that you can still cook to. He likes that idea he wants to be a fry cook he says and a pastry chef, I just love that. I also love cooking, baking and just making things in the kitchen that are edible.
I love that he enjoys watching the Foodnetwork channel and he loves Alton Brown, Diners, Drive ins & Dives, Paula Deene and some of the Cupcake Wars, Chopped, Food Network Challenge, etc..
All and all he just makes me proud, I’m proud to be his Mama and he’s little Sweetie Pie!!
I must admit at first I was a little nervous, you never know what your really gonna get, I took the chance and Leo’s account was approved this morning and he loves it already. Its 8 am and he’s doing school work, so that says something to me. I just wish he could sit there longer today, but later this evening its all his. I started him off in Pre-K, I know what your thinking isn’t he kinda of old for Pre-K well yes and no. Leo has a slight learning disability that causes him to not remember his reading and sounds so good, but he does good so far with the math. I love that I was able to chose a higher grade level for math than for language arts. I love this site and leo just came running to me telling me how he is writing a book about himself being a cat.
The site Time4Learning.com is Awesome and I recommend it to my friends and family who homeschool or just need a extra pick me up for their kids. Besides whats better than playing a game to learn, or making it appear that way! Very Pleased so far.

I dont like to let my sweetie eat fast food its horrible for you but on the occasion and I mean maybe 10 times in a year. If we do go get burgers we go to a burger place called best burger usually. It reminds me of a restaurant my grandma, aunt wendy, aunt amy, and myself worked at. I actually got meat which was beef from packages and use a ice cream scoop to make balls to fill the drawer for the day. I cut onions, tomatoes, and numerous other things as well as cooked. When someone wanted a bigger sized burger we just took two balls of beef and put em together and mush them on the grill with onions on top of them. Flip’em and then serve em with a small amount of mayo, ketchup, mustard and pickle. They did have the onions on them that grilled with the burgers. That is what best burger is like! They just do not use the onion but they do use the pickle ketchup and mustard, we ask for mayo on side so we can put a little bit on there.
