Todays Grandma Sherry’s Birthday Happy Birthday Grandma October 24, 1953, she is 50 years old!

Today is Mommys birthday, Happy Birthday Mama!Well today is October 21, 03, I received a Birthday Card in the mail addressed to Mommy Baker and I thought HUH? Didnt even dawn on me. It was from my little Leo, his Great Grandma and aunt and cousins sent it for him. Arent they sweet. Thanks guys Love ya.

Wensday, October 15, 03 he wakes up early like 4;30 am for his morning baba, and he eats it good, he wakes up again at 8:30am, and I am thinking like normal its time again. He hardly takes anything down and wont take no more. Well I tried again a few hours later cuz he was just sleeping his little butt off. Again he wouldnt eat, well I began to change his diaper cuz he had been pushing and pushing, well when i opened his diaper to my surprize was a huge white chunk stretching his little butthole out of shape, it was so sad he was crying and crying, I didnt know what to do this was about 10:30am, I called Doctors office, and they told me to stick a glass thermomater up his butt, I said ok but sure didnt do there has to be another way. I used a diaper wipe and pulled it out, oh it hurt him so bad, he couldnt get it out, he was making his belly button pop out and he’s got an inny so I was worried about a hernia. Well he was ok, so I tried again to see if he wanted to eat, and nope he didnt. So he fell asleep while I was holding him and I just figured maybe that stuff made him just not feel good. Well Daddy was home for lunch about 11:57am, and I went to change his diaper again, and he was purple from the waist down, I freaked we need to go to hospital I told him. I’ll drop you back off at work and keep car, he said no I’ll take you. So again we are in the hospital, this time we went to Bi-County Hospital, they were the closest. They took xray and his colon is packed full of barium, they gave him glycerin suppository and sent us home. Well once we got home he had another piece he couldnt get out so I have to help him, I feel so bad for making him get that upper GI the poor baby. So to you mothers, make sure you give your kid something to help them poop it out before it hardens cause it is the consistancy of hard play dough, that sucks bad. I’ll keep ya informed on what happens to the little guy.

Tuesday October 14, 03 we go for upper GI and he again is so good, he sleeps thru it all cept for drinking of the barium and mind you he drinks on an average of 1.5 to 2.5 oz of formula per feeding, and he drank almost 5 ounces of this barium I dont know why but he loved it. Well that test was negative for the acid reflux.

So Monday October 13, 03 I called the Diagnostics Imaging and set appointment for Tuesday, October 14, 03 at 10:10am. Nothing to eat, or should I say drink, for 4 hours before appointment. Ok not a problem.

Well being frustrated I took him thru ER (Mt Clemens General Hospital, Where I had him) last Thrusday, October 9, 03 to see what they can come up with? It was questionable. They tested him for RSV and sent us home. That test was negative, they took some of his snot to test ewwwwwwww!

Well we are back again on October 6, 03 and still coughing and has nasal congestion, and I have been looking up stuff and reading, it says Acid reflux causes some of the symptoms he has, and so does RSV which is something that he isnt supposed to get, it could be bad for him. Pyloric Stenosis also came up for those sypmtoms. She sent him that day for another chest xray a nebulizer, (for those of you who dont know a home breathing treatment machine.) 3 x’s a day, which he hates, and I still dont think this is what he needs he has nasal congestion to, thats from something else. The chest Xray should the Pneumonia< had cleared up. However she did put him on more meds, along with the nebulizer, she gave him Erythromiacin 1/2 tsp 2 x’s a day.

Well Friday, October 10, 03 I talked a while to my sister in law, Olivia. Both her kids had acid reflux and they seem to wait forever to rule that out. Olivia said that St. Johns Hospital was the only place that tested her kids and found out and so I asked her should I go there, yes she said they are great hospital!!! Ok so we go to ER on Friday night to, and Geeze was it packed. They took him back to a very, very dirty area of the hospital called pediatrics OMG I couldnt belive my eyes, there was garbage from gauze to wrappers, to some funky looking yellow that looked like the bio in your belly from when you thrown up everything and nothing else is in you. I let it go seeing how it was suposed to be a good hospital, and the Dr. Gappy cam and seen him, and said they wanted to get him tested for Pyloric Stenosis, which would consist of an Ultrasound not a problem and that they wanted to give him an IV for dehydration, He was far from dehydrated, and get some blood. Well I requested and Upper GI that night. The Doctor pussy footed around it. Well we went for Ultrasound and he was a perfect angel sound asleep during the whole thing, gel was rubbed on him and everything. Well then I took him back to the bed where Daddy was waiting, and the to excuse me but the 2 Bitches came in, to draw blood and put in the IV at once just one poke you know? Well she was squeezing his arm so tight that his hand was turning almost black, and his arm was purple with tiny, tiny red dots. Out the needle came, I said to her you aint sticking him again, she right away calls Dr, and tells. She spilled more blood than she took and I yelled at her, cuz she did. She says ma’am, I only took 3 CC’s of his blood I said I dont care. You dont know what you your doing look at his arm, I bout like to knock her block off!!! We waited for labs, and Doctor cam back and said that basically theres a good chance he’s developing,Pyloric Stenosis. Well I started to feed him a bottle and Dr. Gappy came back in and said when did you feed him last I said a few minutes ago why, well I ordered him an Upper GI He said, but you have to wait like 4 hours til his tummy’s empty, well its already like 10pm. No we will go on monday or tuesday to His hospital that his Drs. thru Ok and they discharged him. Any ways I forgot to mention I still called Dr. on Friday to ask and practically demand an Upper GI, she called back and said she’d fax something to the hospital (the receptionist I talked to not the doctor)

Well we went again on 9/29/03, and he got his shots, it hurt so bad she stuck that needle in so deep I could have whomped her, but I guess its got to go into muscle but his little legs arent that thick, You know?

On Monday September 22nd, 03 The Doctors receptionist called and let me know that the chest xray showed he had a small spot of Pneumonia. I thought Great just what he needs, He’s so little just a baby. Oh Pneumonia is either a bacteria or viral infection of the lungs, or from inhaling your own vomit, which is more than likely his case seeing how he has been vomiting. Dr. Pokriefka put him on amoxicillin I think 1/2 tsp 3 times a day.

OK I said, and we went again September 19th,03 to his Pediatrician because his symptoms havent changed, but progressed, a harder cough more snot and bugers. Dr. Pokriefka sent us for a chest xray.
